Knee Push Ups to Get Fit While You Watch TV

Knee Push Ups for 3 Minute exercises while watching TV

Focus: Strength exercise, works the chest, shoulders and core.

Reps: 16

Get face down on the floor with weight on your knees and your hands.  Keep your arms straight and hands spread wider than your shoulders. Bend your arms to lower your body, then straighten your arms to rise back up. Keep your spine straight and your abs tight. Repeat for a total of 16 times.

Note: If knee push-ups are too difficult, instead do push-aways on a wall.

Plank Mountain Climbers

Plank Mountain Climbers - 3 Minute exercise while watching TV

Focus: This is a strength exercise that works the core & obliques.

Reps: 20 each side.

Begin on the floor in elbow plank position. Bend your knee up and under your body, crossing toward the opposite shoulder. Alternate legs until you complete 20 on each side. Keep abs engaged and spine straight.

Glute Stretches

Focus: This exercise focusses on the legs and glutes.

Reps: 1 count of 20 to 30 seconds each leg.

Lie on your back with your knees bent.  Cross the left ankle above the right knee, reach your hands through and slightly pull the leg towards you from behind your thigh. Maintain constant pressure for 20 to 30 seconds. Repeat on the other side.
